embroidery
Embroidery is one of the oldest forms of decoration and traditionally done by hand. These days we use the latest machines and software giving us the ability to complete jobs faster and to the highest quality possible. Embroidery is the most common print method for workwear, trade wear and corporate uniforms as it has a clean and professional finish. It’s also the most long lasting print method. We can embroider pretty much any type of apparel.
screen printing
Screen Printing is a printing technique where a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact...blah blah blah, we are not going to bore you with all the technical details, just think ink on garment = Kick ass result, great for bulk orders!
direct to film - DTF
Mind out of the gutter on this one people...This uses a blend of digital and screen print to create a transfer that we then press to your garment using heat. It's the ultimate full colour heat transfer for vibrant designs, even those with the most complex and intricate elements.
The thin nature of the product makes it extremely comfortable and easy to wear and there are a range of effects from metallic to glitter and even 3D. They are suitable for various types of fabrics, such as cotton, polyester, nylon, leather, and denim.
Personally we think this option kicks butt for nearly any order qty, apparel type or fabric!
heat transfer vinyl - htv
This process sees us cutting your design out of coloured vinyl or printing in full colour to a heat transfer vinyl and then pressing it onto your garment with heat. This is a super cost effective option for orders using single or solid colours.
A great option if your apparel is unable to be screen printed due to fabric type or placement.
direct to garment - dtg
Down to grind... maybe not... Direct to Garment (DTG) is the process where a printer applies a special ink directly onto the garment using inkjet technology. Basically a cool printer!
The garment absorbs the inks into the fibers, creating a softer feel to the traditional method of screen printing.
Also referred to as digital printing, it is a great option for those working with a small budget as there are no minimum qtys. The only downside is fabric/stock choice is limited.
sublimation
Sublimation printing uses heat to essentially bring ink and fabric together as one.
First, a design is printed onto special paper. The inks that are used turn into gas when brought under heat, then combine with the fabric and permanently print onto the fabric. The effects are permanent and less prone to fading, as the ink is embedded in the fabric or substrate rather than simply laying on top like a normal print.
The longevity is a plus point, with a design that won’t crack, peel or fade. Works well with garments that have multiple design variations and colours... think sporting jerseys and polos etc.
